Except the 1st step of naming and opening a Branch of Science of the Human Mind as Psychology, perhaps no progress in the ‘essential direction’ seems to have been made in both Modern Western Psychology and Ancient Indian Psychology.

Essential direction means steps to eliminate Fear, Poverty and Violence in mankind. Mere protection of the Natural State of Consciousness in Children by parents and also about Self-Returning to it or Self Regaining it by the Adult human beings is enough to make the world a paradise.

If Psychology had advanced, mankind too would have progressed. Psychology is not progressing because the Consciousness is not progressing in both freedom and knowledge about the mind and Consciousness. Consciousness is not progressing because of its unknowing and involuntary patronage to the evil of ‘Poorvagraha or the Conditioning’.

Conditioning is also preventing new focus and attention on the perception of Truth. Conditioning is also causing hyperactivity, thereby keeping everyone constantly busy thereby making them unable to question the old or see anything new.

However, more than a millennia ago, Ancient Indian Psychology has made it abundantly clear that the ONE AND ONLY problem of mankind is the ‘Poorvagraha’ or the Conditioning of Consciousness, or obstructions of new perceptions by past perceptions or knowledge in memory. But MWP is not clear and brief like this.

These points can be easily attributed to the continuing downfall of mankind.

  1. Consciousness produces and uses knowledge. Unfortunately, it gets stuck in its own produce, to suffer lifelong.
  2. During its early growing years, the tender Consciousness is prone or susceptible to damage. Then an external intellectual intervention in memory bonds or conditions to the divided Consciousness. It prevents the return of Consciousness to its undamaged state. Later even untrue or irrelevant knowledge segments get attached to it causing its permanent Conditioning. However, after full growth of Consciousness, even untrue knowledge can’t cause conditioning to it.
  3. Unknowingly and involuntarily the ‘conditioned Consciousnesses’ often act as agents of ‘conditioning’ and start spreading it and also often oppose or suppress the Truth. They are often called as vested interests.
  4. In the absence of identification and recognition of the one and only problem of Conditioning by the moderate people, the Vested Interests are more likely to succeed in their endeavor, because they are motivated, have more determination, infra structure and wherewithal, than the moderate people who want to save the world.
  5. Now the very crucial challenges before the moderate humanity includes i) studying and understanding the problem of Conditioning, ii) Tolerating, allowing and helping the Truth to grow, iii) Helping preventing and correcting the problem of conditioning and iv) Investigating and finding newer ways to quickly save the world, before it is too late. If these are not done, whole mankind may sink into darkness, not even knowing what was its problem.
  6. If there was a meter invented to gauge the condition of human lives, perhaps it would have been like this. Please note that Civilization here is only the indicator of the period in on going human life history. Civilization isn’t the cause of ‘poorvagraha’ or conditioning of Consciousness of mankind. Civilization helped arrival of mass communication, when human mind was partly conditioned. And in its hubris the Partly Conditioned Consciousness, climbed the bandwagon and began to ride non stop, without even caring for its own welfare.
