Why inaccurate knowledge is absolutely essential for the conditioning of Consciousness?
Truth liberates mankind is an age old saying from the Bible. Similar sayings are found in all scriptures. Not for nothing, then ancient saints of yore in all civilizations, said this. If truth liberates mankind, it may be obvious that untruth chains, bonds or conditions the Consciousness of mankind.
Unfortunately the number of people who have enormous depth of perception and common man’s ability to discover, perceive and make use of Truth both seem to be diminishing very fast in mankind worldwide. Civilization brought enormous Drive (Speed), but the Direction (of Truth) was lost.
Truth was spread worldwide very fast and it was undoubtedly useful in Science and Medicine etc. But untruth along with Truth was also disseminated very fast worldwide. It became like increasing quantity at the cost of quality. Untruth is sticky, so it sticks fast. Truth is dry. So it doesn’t stick, it can only liberate.
One good thing is that the internet came to the world and like minded people. interested in this subject, began to discuss and spread this new discoveries. ‘Poorvagraha’ is an old word for the ‘obstruction of present perception by old recordings in memory in particular areas of knowledge’. Great Philosopher J Krishnamurti called it as the ‘Conditioning of the Consciousness’. Undoubtedly, it can be said to be the primary problem of mankind.
Truth is generally defined as perception of accurate, clear and relevant facts. So inaccurate knowledge is something other than these. Anything imagined or which no one has perceived so far, can’t be regarded as Truth. Another unwise thing was the repetition of sentences began to bring some kind of escape from boredom or sorrow to man. Thus Religious hymns and prayers increased.
Damaged and Disturbed Consciousness produced a lot of untruths and used Science to spread it worldwide, thereby the world became a haven for untruths. Intellectual time and space also became scarce for the birth and spread of Truth.
And wherever Truth was found, its Scientific explanation and interpretation wasn’t found or it was difficult, because the Consciousness has to be free to find as well as to disseminate truth. For example, my mentor K’s expressions are highly intellectual and impressive, but often lacked brevity and clarity and thereby it remained ineffective. He himself said that there is ‘urgency of change’, before it becomes too late for mankind to get back its lost natural ability.
Absolute Truth must act on the Consciousness, just like the right pill acts on the body to permanently cure some pain or ache. Consciousness must have a general idea or road map first. Then it should jump off from the present path to get liberated.
For Conditioning to take place, two factors are essential. One is that the Consciousness has to be divided or fractured. Two is that the divided part has to bond with some or other untruth or inaccurate knowledge. Even if one is not there, Conditioning can’t take place. Repetition can cause brain washing and untruth is often accepted as Truth. The greatest discovery here is that some or the other untruth is essential for ‘conditioning’.
